Hey guys! How are you all doing today? I'm doing pretty darn good - for the past 6 days or so I've really been watching my eating habits. I'm never going to lose these few extra pounds if I don't work for it, obviously. I've only been eating 3 meals a day, and not over-eating; just eating enough so that I'm comfortable. No snacking inbetween, and if I do I make sure it's not junk.
I've also been doing 50 crunches each day to help tone up my belly area. Now I think I'm able to move up to 60 crunches. I'm also going to try to do some squats, and I do 20 stretches to each side along with some lifting small weights... or rather, some heavy books that I have, because I don't have weights. ;D
So that's that, I'm doing good! What's really important about this journal is the fact that I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a possible first-time job. I'm 16 years old, so I can finally start looking. I'd like some tips and I have questions.
1) How do you guys look for your jobs? Do you go online, do you go into the place and ask if they're hiring, or do you call? Or maybe all three or just two of them?
2) If you call there, is there a specific person you have to ask for? The manager, maybe? Or do you just call up and ask whoever's there if they're hiring?
3) Tell me about your first job experience. Was it difficult for you or did you find it really fun?
4) What kind of job is more fun for you - working at a restaraunt, a store, or whatever else?
5) If you want, tell me about some nice or funny stories from being at work. ^^
Thanks a lot for helping. I'll need to feel confident about this first. I know I have to be persistent and to present myself very maturely and just be myself. I feel confident that I could do an interview pretty well, but I need to do first things first by actually LOOKING for places. ;D
Thanks! :3

1:You can have family ask there friends/coworkers around if there any job openings.Go look around town into many stores malls see if anyone hiring.Look for the signs that says help wanted, but careful you might need to be 18 or older for certain jobs and know what shift you wanna do.
2:If you call you can ask for manager or who ever is in charge on that shift.
3:My experience was alil rough cause I had to learn to work the register and know where everything was, having to know the price list, and work the lotto machine, stock the shelves after pricing.
4: I say gas station mini mart would be easy to start out with to get use to rush hours and fast service especialy on holidays.
5:Nothing really funny goes on unless we do something silly.

And thanks a ton for the suggestion. My mom picked me up an application for Dunkin Donuts - if she would just get out my damn social security card I could finish the application and bring it in. She almost NEVER does what she says she's gonna do, which pisses me off. D:
